As the curtain closes on the 2025–26 Broadway season, PRG is proud to reflect on another landmark year supporting some of the most ambitious, technically sophisticated, and creatively daring productions on stage.
This season, 35 new productions (including 3 return engagements) opened on Broadway - 21 plays, 12 musicals, and 2 special events. PRG supported the majority across lighting, audio, video, scenic, and automation services. When the 2025-26 Season officially concluded on May 24th, 40 productions were running simultaneously on Broadway, including long-running productions, with PRG supporting 35 of them.
“The scale and technical ambition of this season’s productions continued to push Broadway forward in exciting ways,” said Alexander Donnelly, SVP, Broadway and Scenic at PRG. “From groundbreaking automation systems and massive scenic builds to immersive sound environments and complex lighting networks, we’re proud to provide the infrastructure that helps creative teams bring these productions to life.”
A trusted partner to the Broadway community for nearly four decades, PRG continues to support productions at every scale, from intimate plays to large-scale musicals, helping creative teams execute some of the industry’s most innovative artistic visions.
PRG-SUPPORTED HIGHLIGHTS AMONG THE 2025-2026 SEASON INCLUDE:
- PRG supported every production nominated in the Best Musical and Best Musical Revival categories, as well as 3 of the 4 nominees for Best Play and 4 of the 5 nominees for Best Play Revival.
- In the scenic, lighting, and sound design categories, PRG supported 12 nominees.
- For The Lost Boys, PRG’s scenic and automation teams helped bring one of the season’s most technically ambitious productions to life with a massive three-story set featuring complex automation effects.
- The production also marked the first Broadway use of PRG’s proprietary new automation control system, RENEGADE. PRG additionally utilized 3D printing technology to fabricate more than 700 unique scenic elements for the production.
- For Dog Day Afternoon, PRG supported an elaborate sound design system that shifted the audience’s perspective between the interior of the bank and the crowd gathered outside on the street, immersing audiences directly into the sonic world of the production and, at key moments, transforming the audience itself into part of the crowd. PRG additionally supported the Lighting and Scenic teams with their Tony-nominated designs.
- Cats: The Jellicle Ball and Titanique represented standout examples of productions that PRG supported during their Off-Broadway runs before continuing support through their transfers to Broadway.
- PRG also provided lighting and support for Schmigadoon! one of the season’s most celebrated new musicals. The lighting system consisted of more than 250 fixtures and represented the first use on Broadway of PRG’s proprietary remote followspot system, GroundControl Multi.
