Peter W. Lamb Joins Artec As COO and Principal Consultant

Peter W. Lamb. a 30-year veteran of the theatre industry, has been appointed Chief Operations Officer and Principal Consultant of the New York City-based firm Artec Consultants Inc, as announced this week by Artec's president Damian Doria. Lamb joins Artec as the firm completes its extensive work on the new Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia, the exciting new home for the Philadelphia Orchestra.

As Production Manager and Senior Technical Director for Livent Inc. (1988-99), Lamb oversaw such productions as: The Phantom of the Opera (Toronto, International Touring); Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Toronto, International Touring); Show Boat (Toronto, Broadway, Chicago, International Touring); Sunset Boulevard (Toronto, Vancouver); and Ragtime (Toronto, Los Angeles, Broadway, Chicago). Recently, Mr. Lamb served as Technical Director for Stephen Sondheim’s Follies for the Roundabout Theatre Company on Broadway.

Lamb's awards and honors include: New York Art Directors Club, Toronto Art Directors Club, and the Tyrone Guthrie Award. He is a member of the Canadian Institute for Theatre Technology (CITT), the United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT), and the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE).
