NYXdesign Forms

Lighting designers Abigail Rosen Holmes, Brian L. Gale, and Emanuel Treeson have announced the formation of NYXdesign, which will provide lighting design for a wide range of projects, including entertainment, corporate shows, and architecture.

Holmes, formerly a partner at Lightswitch, has designed tours for Cher, Janet Jackson, and Bonnie Raitt, for Jean Michel Jarre for NHK Television, The Wall Concert in Berlin in 1990, the 1998 and 1999 Ringling Bros. circus, and The Little Mermaid on Ice. Her architectural work has included the Gateway and Airtight Garage in the Metreon Building for Sony Entertainment in San Francisco, and The Race for Atlantis IMAX ride at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas.

Gale, formerly with Walt Disney Imagineering, is currently working on the expansion of the Reagan Library and has designed the Olympic Plaza Parade for the 2002 Olympic Winter Games, movie premieres including Pocahontas in Central Park, the Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade, the premiere for The Hunchback of Notre Dame for the Disney Channel, corporate shows for Paul Mitchell Systems, L'Oreal, Redken Labs, and Sebastian International, and the world premiere of Angels in America at Center Theater Group.

Treeson has designed the Mazda reveal at the 2002 Dealer meeting, movie premieres for Pearl Harbor and Lilo and Stitch with Wynonna, the boxing sequence for the film Dickey Roberts, and the final concert sequence for the film Rat Race, Arri trade show booths from 1999 to 2002, and Fantasia 2000 at Carnegie Hall.
