Current USITT members are invited to nominate young professionals for The Rising Star Award, established by and sponsored by LDI/Live Design magazine. Presented annually at the USITT Conference and Stage Expo, the award recognizes excellence and artistic achievement in the areas of scenic, lighting, sound, and projection design, or the convergence of these design disciplines. Recipients must be in the first four years of professional (non-academic) work following the completion of his or her highest degree.
"The Rising Star Award is one of the ways we look toward the next generation and support the work of the next crop of great designers," says David Johnson, publisher of Live Design.

The 2014 Rising Star Award will be presented at the 54nd USITT Annual Conference & Stage Expo in Fort Worth, TX, March 26-29, 2014.
