Pointman Productions announces itself as Sacramento's newest resource in production services and sales. Founded in February 2001 by Derald Reedy and Louis Hudson, the company initially focused on event management, but realized that Sacramento needed another option for retail needs. Louis Hudson has worked in the stage lighting industry all over the world. Derald has been working in live sound reinforcement and recording studios for most of his career.
Pointman Productions bills itself as a one-stop shop for all production service needs from event design and management, sound and lighting services, and retail supplier. Some of the brands it represents are: High End Systems, Apollo, Leprecon, Audio-technica, AKG, Setwear, National Specialty Lighting, H & H Specialties, and Fehr Brothers.
In its short history, the company has worked on the grand opening of the Sheraton Grand Hotel in Sacramento, the Greater Sacramento Urban League's Annual Unity Ball, and the Rainbow Girls' California State Convention. Pointman Productions also gets involved with the community through donated services to local theatre companies and churches.
