New Principals at Theatre Projects Consultants

Theatre Projects Consultants (TPC) of South Norwalk, CT, is pleased to announce that Michael Nishball, head of the technical production department, and John Coyne, design department associate, have both been promoted to Principal Consultant. Nishball has also joined the US Management Team for Theatre Projects. In addition to these promotions, Project Manager Michael Ferguson has been promoted to Senior Consultant.

Michael Nishball, head of the technical production department and a rigging and stage equipment specialist has been with TPC since 1995. He has more than 20 years experience in theatrical rigging system design as well as considerable professional experience in specialist production techniques, particularly video and projection. Some of his major projects for TPC include: Kodak Theatre, Hollywood, CA; Overture Center, Madison, WI; New Amsterdam Theatre, New York City and Kimmel Center, Philadelphia, PA. Before joining TPC in 1995, Nishball worked for the rigging contractor Pook, Diemont and Ohl, Inc.

An architect and a scenic and costume designer, John Coyne, is a member of the TPC design department. Coyne has designed for a number of theatre and opera companies including, New York City Opera, San Francisco Opera, The Joseph Papp Public Theatre, Dallas Theater Center, Center Stage, and The Juilliard School. His most recent productions were Julius Caesar for the California Shakespeare Theatre; Die Fledermaus for Washington Opera, Rough Crossing at the Old Globe Theatre, San Diego, and Very Good Eddie for Goodspeed Musicals, East Haddam, CT. His architectural design work includes Tempe Center for the Arts, Tempe, AZ; Collin County Arts Center Study, TX; Dallas Center for the Performing Arts, Baton Rouge Performing Arts Center,LA; and Cyprus Theatre, Nicosia, Cyprus.

With almost 20 years of theatre production experience, Project Manager Michael Ferguson initially joined Theatre Projects as a stage lighting and performance equipment specialist in 1998. His production experience covers a wide range of live presentation types including theatre, dance, performance art, industrials, circus, trade shows, special event design, and live musical concerts. Regional theatre credits include productions for San Jose Repertory Theatre, American Conservatory Theatre, Berkeley Rep, The Kennedy Center, and Repertory Theatre of St. Louis.His TPC projects include a new performing arts center at the University of Delaware, Metropolitan Kansas City Performing Arts Center, MO; Mercersburg Academy, Mercersburg, PA and Theatre for a New Audience, Brooklyn, NY.
