New Positions at Martin Professional

Martin UK’s stage lighting account manager Mark Ravenhill will be moving to the Martin head office in Aarhus, Denmark to take over as Martin's international product manager for touring, theatre and television.

Ravenhill will be taking over from long time touring product manager Gerald Heise who will be assuming a new position within the Martin organization as international education manager. Both positions will take effect January 1, 2002.

"I am thoroughly looking forward to taking up the position of international product manager at the group head office in Denmark," states Ravenhill. "Exciting times are ahead both for Martin and for the industry in general and I am keen to take all of the amazing results that Gerald has achieved on to the next level."

As an important part of Martin’s five-year strategy, extensive focus is being placed on education and training. The new position of international education manager will seek to keep current users up-to-date on the latest Martin products as well as serve as an educational resource for various facets of the lighting industry including aspiring lighting professionals.

"Training and education will be presented in a more entertaining fashion, more virtual, often using modern communication tools like E-Learning or WEB-TV," comments Heise. "Our goal is to help develop highly-skilled and highly motivated industry specialists."

Philip Norfolk will be replacing Mark Ravenhill at the Martin UK office as the new stage and studio product sales manager. Norfolk comes from a position as national sales training manager at Tech Lighting in Chicago, IL and has extensive experience in the lighting industry.
