New Eclipse HX Version 12 Software Supports All-IP Eclipse Matrix and FreeSpeak Edge

Clear-Com’s® Eclipse® HX digital matrix intercom’s latest software update strengthens its position as the most flexible and dynamic all-IP intercom solution on the market. It is a highly scalable platform for enabling non-blocking, bi-directional communication for small to large collaborative work teams, now with support for SMPTE ST2110-30 and AES67 third-party interoperability as well as FreeSpeak Edge™.

EHX v12 enables the connection to or from any third-party device using AES67, the audio standard used in SMPTE ST2110 audio and video IP systems. EHX v12 also allows the configuration and seamless integration of FreeSpeak Edge 5 GHz wireless beltpacks and transceivers.  FreeSpeak Edge 5GHz joins FreeSpeak II® 1.9GHz and 2.4GHz solutions within the same EHX managed system.

The Eclipse HX system enables up to thousands of direct (point-to-point) and one-to-many (group and partyline or conference) audio and data signal distributions/connections. All systems can intelligently trunk over redundant Fiber or through trunks based on IP (Dante, AES67 and native), MADI and audio CAT5 without compromising audio quality or performance. For very large systems, Eclipse HX v12 now includes a Cross Ring IP Bridge (CRIB), which is a new intercom trunking scheme that links separate, distant Eclipse-HX intelligent fiber rings over IP bridging trunks.

“The introduction of this latest software update truly does confirm Eclipse HX’s position as the most dynamic, flexible all-IP solution on the market, comments Senior Product Management, Peter Stallard. “The possibilities are endless, especially with the integration of the new FreeSpeak Edge and AES67.”
