New Appointments at DPA Microphones

DPA Microphones, Inc., the newly established sales and distribution office for the DPA product in North America, has named Bruce Myers president and Chris Walsh product manager.

Myers heads the new company that is responsible for comprehensive sale, marketing, technical support, and customer service in North America. As of March 1, 2003, operations are headquartered in Lyons, Colorado. "The superior sound of DPA microphones has been one of the best kept secrets in North America," said Myers. "We intend to realize the full growth potential of our high-resolution products through increased market exposure and by putting the customer first." A 30-year veteran of the pro audio industry, Myers was most recently general manager of field operations for Tannoy North America. Prior to that, he enjoyed a long career at Bose Corporation in the professional division.

Walsh comes to DPA from Tannoy North America where he held the position of sales manager for DPA Microphones as well as for Tannoy studio products. Before joining Tannoy, Walsh spent six years at Martinsound, Inc. as vice president of sales and marketing. He is based in Alta Loma, in the Los Angeles area. "We’re very pleased that Chris is part of the new DPA team," says Myers. "His knowledge of the product line and his contacts in the studio market, both music recording and film/post/video, make him the obvious first choice for the job."

DPA’s new North American sales, marketing, technical support, and customer service office opened for business on March 1, 2003. A wholly owned subsidiary of DPA Microphones A/S, the new NA office is headquartered in Lyons, Colorado. Previously, DPA had been represented by Tannoy North America in Kitchener, Ontario who has been sole distributor of the product for the past 10 years.
