NEC Upgrades High Light Output Projector Certification Program

NEC Solutions (America), Inc. recently announced significant upgrades to an already robust certification program for its High Light Output projector family, comprised of the Nighthawk Series of large venue projectors and the TriDigital Series of high definition reference projectors. End-users who purchase NEC HLO products from NEC Certified HLO Nighthawk and TriDigital resellers can now receive extended warranties, free accessories and quantity discounted pricing, along with in-depth product training and increased access to the projectors.

The HLO Certification program enables NEC distributors and resellers to sell and integrate the increasingly popular HLO product line, which carries an industry reputation for superior image quality and reliability. Recent program enhancements allow NEC Certified HLO resellers to pass along significant benefits to the end user, such as a free one-year parts and labor warranty for a total of two years (up to a $3,850 value) for every projector purchased before April 1, 2003. In addition, a free lens (a $3,500 value) will be offered with the purchase of certain HLO products while supplies last. Quantity discount pricing is also available for various HLO products, which were already recently reduced by up to $4,250 in December 2002.

"We've had tremendous success with this certification program since its introduction last year," said Joe Azzarello, HLO Product Manager for NEC Solutions, Visual Systems Division. "The beauty of it is that everyone benefits - NEC Certified HLO distributors and resellers receive increased access to HLO products, special training and pricing discounts, along with additional perks that they can pass along to their customers." Azzarello noted that NEC's two primary Certified HLO distributors are Visual Solutions, Incorporated and Electrograph Systems, Inc. Resellers unable to qualify for certification training will still be able to purchase Nighthawk products from these HLO Certified distributors, however, they will not receive the additional benefits.

Famous for their flexible designs and superior reliability, NEC's Nighthawk Series consists of three SXGA and three XGA native resolution projectors with the light output and feature set to meet any large venue projection need. NEC's three TriDigital Series projectors add TriDigital Image Processing to the Nighthawk design to recreate the look and feel of film for entertainment and post-production applications where a film look and the most accurate reproductions of color, detail, white uniformity and natural flesh tones are a necessity.

NEC's projectors are backed by the company's first-class warranty program. According to Pacific Media Associates' 2002 Large-Screen Displays Reseller Survey, NEC ranked highest among all display manufacturers for product quality/reliability and warranty repair/return programs. In the survey, resellers rated product quality/reliability as the most important single attribute of a large-screen display manufacturer.
