MODE Studios Adds Music Industry Veteran Matt Skerritt To Their Creative Roster

Matt Skerritt will be represented by MODE Studios as a director and producer for music videos, live music DVD production, and content creation for use in event design.

MODE Studios has moved to add a substantial new creative capability by bringing Matt Skerritt under their roof. “We couldn’t be more pleased or excited,” comments MODE CEO Colleen Bonniol.

Skerritt has been producing and directing prolifically in the competitive world of music video, long form music documentary, and live performance DVD production. Working with a range of labels, he has recently created works for artists like Jerry Lee Lewis, Matisyahu, The Lashes, Chris Botti, INXS, Rockstar Supernova, Our Lady Peace, Gilby Clarke, Jason Nestead, and Bare Naked Ladies.

In recent collaborations, particularly in the filming of Cartel’s breakout DVD (being released this summer), Skerritt and MODE Studios principal designer Bob Bonniol discovered a real symbiosis in their approaches to design and directing.

“It seemed a really natural idea to begin working together as a unit. We had an ability to provide Matt with space, production logistics, and great in-house design capabilities.” notes Bob Bonniol. “Matt brings an incredibly talented and fresh eye to our arsenal.”

“Adding Matt is the first key part of a plan for aggressive growth at MODE,” adds Colleen Bonniol. “We will be continuing to add top talent in all of our positions in the near term. Based on the enormous growth we are seeing in our music industry business alone, this seems inevitable.”

Regarding the new deal, Skerritt expresses real pleasure. “I’m so glad to be here. It’s already proving to be the right formula. There’s so much art and imagination flying around the room. And the phone has already started ringing.”
