Mixhalo Granted Patent For Augmented Live Event Audio Technology

Mixhalo today announced that it has been granted a U.S. patent (US-11461070-B2) for its groundbreaking technology that delivers pristine, high-quality audio in ultra-real-time to attendees at live events. The patent illustrates Mixhalo’s unique ability to augment live fan experiences in ways that were never before possible.

The applications of the now-patented technology are far-reaching. Mixhalo elevates the live music experience by unlocking the same soundboard mix that musicians get on stage, including isolated mixes (guitar, vocals, drums) – customizable for every fan with their own phones and headphones. Similarly, Mixhalo takes the live sports experience to the next level by delivering multiple channels of audio content with no perceptible delay. This could include home and away radio broadcasts, Spanish language broadcasts, celebrity commentary and other custom content. Mixhalo also has applications beyond live music and sports, and can be used to enhance the experience anywhere people gather to consume content, including conferences, corporate events, lecture halls, and more.

“We’ve always known that Mixhalo is one-of-a-kind, but patenting the technology solidifies this and further establishes the company as a trailblazer in immersive live experiences,” said John Vars, CEO of Mixhalo. “We’ve had incredible validation over the past few years across the music and sports industries, and our momentum will continue as the only technology that can do what we do.”

Mixhalo was conceptualized by Incubus Guitarist and Songwriter Mike Einziger and Internationally-Acclaimed Violinist Ann Marie Simpson-Einziger, who wanted to give every fan in the venue the same stellar sound they hear through in-ear monitors while performing.

“When Ann Marie and I decided to build Mixhalo, our goal was to reimagine the immersive, onstage audio experience we have as live musicians, ” said Mike Einziger, Co-Founder of Mixhalo and lead guitarist of the rock band, Incubus. “We knew it would require tackling complex technical challenges, but we also knew it would unlock a host of novel networking applications and products. This patent validates both of those assumptions.”

The technology has been adopted by top major league sports teams including the Los Angeles Football Club, the Buffalo Sabres (NHL) and the Sacramento Kings (NBA), deployed at top music venues including Las Vegas’ famed Caesars Palace for Sting’s “My Songs” residency, the Park MGM for Aerosmith’s “Deuces are Wild” residency, and recognized by Apple, Verizon, and T-Mobile for its potential to transform live events.
