Audio industry veterans Michael Abbott and Jesse Adamson have joined the Parnelli Board of Advisors. “We welcome Michael and Jesse to our Board and look forward to their contributions and perspectives,” said Terry Lowe, Parnelli Awards co-founder, executive producer, and founder of PLSN and FRONT of HOUSE magazines.
Abbott is an experienced Audio producer and engineer, project manager, and technical consultant with over four decades of work across the entertainment, broadcast, and live event industries. He is the founder of All Ears, Inc., a company that provides audio services for live television broadcasts, streaming productions, award shows, and live events. Abbott has been responsible for sound design and mixing for live broadcast programs such as American Idol and The Voice, music mixing for streaming projects, and audio producing for major televised award shows including the Grammy Awards, Academy of Country Music Award, and the Country Music Awards. In 2013, he consulted on AV systems at Dodger Stadium for Guggenheim Partners. He has also worked with Universal Studios Post-Production Sound Operations and the Lantana Media Complex on noise management solutions and has provided analysis for audio-related litigation on behalf of multiple law firms. In August 2023, Michael was engaged by Archkey, a Minneapolis-based systems integrator, for commissioning on the A/V technical installation at the Sphere in Las Vegas. He is a three-time Grammy Award winner for Sound Mixing.
“I’m sincerely honored to join the Parnelli Board and look forward to contributing in recognizing the professionals behind live production who set the standards for excellence and creativity,” Abbott said.
Adamson joins the Board with a great deal of experience in all facets of pro audio. His career began in the late 1990s, building recording studios. He would then join Canadian loudspeaker manufacturer Adamson Systems Engineering, holding the roles of director of marketing and sales and vice president for 13 years. During his tenure at Adamson, the company significantly expanded its revenue base, and he was instrumental in the development of touring accounts, international distribution, and the raising of the company’s public profile. In 2014, he joined Sound Image as director of business development. In June of 2023, he was named president, overseeing all aspects of the company’s work with clients including touring, festivals, installation, and more.
“Sound Image has been a proud supporter of the Parnelli Awards since its inception, and I’m proud to join co-founder Dave Shadoan in participating on the Board of Advisors,” Adamson said. “The annual gala is important for our industry not just because of the awards that are handed out, but it’s one of the best opportunities of the year for us all to take the night off and gather together. I look forward to helping make that the best it can be in any way I can.”
This year’s Parnelli Awards will once again be held during the NAMM show in Anaheim, CA, with the gala taking place on Friday, Jan. 29, 2027. For more information, go to www.ParnelliAwards.com and follow Parnelli Awards on Facebook and Instagram.
