Miceli Leaves Soundelux, Forms Technomedia Solutions

John Miceli, the former president of the Orlando-based Soundelux Showorks, has left the company he co-founded to form Technomedia Solutions, a new company also based in Orlando that specializes in the integration of media and technology. The moves comes a little more than a year after Soundelux Entertainment Group, the parent company of Soundelux Showorks, was acquired by Liberty Media.

Miceli and company will design and integrate advanced technologies and media for leisure entertainment, retail, restaurant and educational exhibit clients. “In today’s world where restaurateurs and retailers are finding audiovisual systems to be a part of their new core infrastructure we understand our clients need a partner who believes the relationship begins at the completion of the installationservice is paramount.” To that end, the company already has plans to build a national network of technical specialists to provide emergency services across the country.

While with Soundelux, Miceli and company were involved in some of the theming industry’s largest projects, including Terminator 2 3/D, The Adventures of Spiderman, and the Experience Music Project. Though up and running for just a little over a month as Technomedia, they have already been involved in projects for Hard Rock Café’s new digital media network, Margaritaville, and NBA City.

“To us, providing creative content production and innovative technologies integration have always been at the root of our business philosophy,” says Miceli. “Today we envision no boundaries between the traditional audiovisual systems and advanced computer networking arena. The future of out-of-the-home entertainment will include a wide array of creatively applied new technologies requiring the expertise that Technomedia Solutions is dedicated to providing clients.”
