Meet Wendall K. Harrington

Award-winning projection designer Wendall K. Harrington will be part of the distinguished faculty at the 2003 Broadway Lighting Master Classes (BLMC), taking place June 25-27, in New York City. Harrington joins lighting designers Jules Fisher, Peggy Eisenhauer, Beverly Emmons, Clifton Taylor, Don Holder, Ken Billington, and Paul Marantz for three days of thought-provoking sessions on the art of design.

Harrington's Broadway credits include Vincent at Brixton, The Who's Tommy (Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, and American Theatre Wing Awards), Amy's View, The Capeman, Ragtime, Freak, Company, The Will Rogers Follies, The Heidi Chronicles, My One & Only, and They're Playing Our Song. At Lincoln Center Theatre Company she worked on Racing Demon, Four Baboons Adoring the Sun, and Hapgood. Harrington's opera credits inlcude The Juniper Tree at ART, The Photographer at BAM, The Magic Flute in Florence, Orpheo in Vienna, the American premieres of Transatlantic and View from the Bridge. She has also designed projections for such ballets as Othello for ABT and Doug Varone's Ballet Mecanique. Her Off Broadway and regional credits include As Thousands Cheer, Night and Her Stars, Merrily We Roll Along (three times!), and the ill-fated Whistle down the Wind. She has created the player introductions for the New York Knicks, Liberty, and Rangers, and directed a production of Arjuna's Dilemma for Music Theatre Group.

The 2003 BLMC will be held in conjunction with the inaugural BSMC (Broadway Sound Master Classes) June 28-29, and the EDDY Awards on Friday, June 27, as well as ESTA hands-on technical training sessions June 28-29.
