Meet Paul Marantz

With training in architecture, architectural history, and industrial design as well as in lighting, Paul Marantz brings a multi-disciplinary background to architectural lighting. He received his B.A. degree from Oberlin College with graduate work at Case/Western Reserve University and Brooklyn College. He has received numerous I.E.S. Lumen Citations for projects including the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, Radio City Music Hall and Times Square New Year’s Eve Ball in New York City, the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles and The Byzantine Fresco Chapel in Houston. He received an I.A.L.D. Citation for the Rainbow Room and an Award for Excellence for the Islamic Cultural Center in New York City and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Mr. Marantz lead the FMS “Tribute in Light” team to honor the victims of the attack on the World Trade Center. Mr. Marantz is a member of the Illuminating Engineering Society, the American Society of Interior Designers, a Fellow of the International Association of Lighting Designers, and is Lighting Certified by the National Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Professions.
