Meet Chris Cronin

Christopher Cronin is both a sound designer and production sound engineer for the Broadway stage. He is currently represented on Broadway as the sound designer of Life (x) 3 at the Circle in the Square. This past season was a busy one, including productions of Jackie Mason’s Prune Danish, Hollywood Arms, Def Poetry Jam, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, A Year with Frog and Toad, and Al Pacino’s Salome. Broadway credits include the sound design for Jackie Mason’s, Much Ado about Everything, Prune Danish, and The Graduate. As associate/assistant sound designer: Frog and Toad, Ma Rainey, Def Poetry, Hollywood Arms, Noises Off, The Search For Intelligent Life in the Universe, The Full Monty, Fascinating Rhythm, Amadeus, Proposals, and Evita (25th Anniversary tour).

As production sound engineer on Broadway: Salome, Ma Rainey, Def Poetry, Noises Off, King Hedley II, Taller than a Dwarf, Annie Get Your Gun, Closer, The Blue Room, Jackie: An American Life, and The Chairs. Mr. Cronin has designed regionally at American Repertory Theatre, Shakespeare and Co., Chiswick Park, and Yale Rep. He holds an MFA from the Yale School of Drama, and lives in New Jersey, with his wife Laura, and daughter Caitlin.
