Martyn “Ferrit” Rowe Named EAW Product Specialist

Veteran concert sound professional Martyn “Ferrit” Rowe has joined EAW as product specialist, where he will apply more than 25 years of professional audio experience to EAW’s rapidly expanding training and educational initiatives.

Ferrit’s first focus will be providing hands-on training for operation of the new EAW UMX.96 large-format digital mixing console. He will also play a key role in developing relevant, real-world-based curriculum and presentations for company educational programs such as the highly successful “Brains, Boxes & Beyond” (B3) sessions and the worldwide B4 Roadshow program.

Ferrit comes to EAW from the Las Vegas operation of Production Resource Group (PRG), where for several years he served as head of Audio Technical Services. He began his career in the late 1970s with TASCO, a leading touring sound company at that time, and while there, he handled monitor engineering and system technician duties for a wide range of top acts, such as Thin Lizzy, Deep Purple, and Judas Priest.

He also supplied freelance monitor engineer services for the Cranberries for four years and system technician services for Motley Crüe, in addition to lending his talents to several Las Vegas productions. He has also conducted training sessions on behalf of L-Acoustics.

“It’s an exciting time to be come aboard as a member of the EAW team,” Ferrit notes. “There’s a congregation of veteran pro audio talent that is firmly committed to truly serving the pro audio industry in terms of technological innovation combined with in-depth support, such as a deep commitment to education, to back it up.”
