Several classes in Martin’s extensive training program, Acade·media, will be offered at its Sunrise, FL and Simi Valley, CA locations. Demand for the training, which trains and certifies technicians and installers on Martin’s lighting gear, is typically heavy.
Stage, Studio and Entertainment Field Technician
This certification program is for the technician who is currently working with the Martin line of Stage, Studio and Entertainment fixtures. These include the MAC 2000 Series fixtures (Profile, Performance and Wash), MAC 550, MAC 600/600 NT and the MAC 250 Entour and Krypton. Through a five-day course, attendees will be instructed on General Service of Intelligent Fixtures, Introduction to DMX Standards, Basics of PCB Diagnostics and Repair, Fixture Diagnostics and Repair, and full hands-on service of the Stage, Studio and Entertainment line of Martin fixtures. Upon successful completion of the program, participants will be listed as a Certified Martin Field Technician for Stage, Studio, and Entertainment fixtures.

LightJockey Training
This is a two day educational training session on Martin’s popular PC based lighting controller, LightJockey. The training will consist of instruction on all the basic and advanced features of the controller. Training will also highlight set up and use of The Offline Visualizer, the 2532 Touch Panel and Fingers controller.

Martin ShowDesigner Gold Training
This is a two-day educational training session on ShowDesigner Gold, Martin’s lighting and set design software package. The training will consist of instruction on all the basic and advanced features of ShowDesigner. Training will also highlight set up and use of Offline files used for LightJockey and Maxxyz, Scenic Rendering using the Net-Rendering, and will also include instruction on set up of live video input.

Maxxyz Console Training
This is a two-day educational training session on Martin’s Maxxyz lighting console. The training will consist of instruction on all the basic and advanced features of Maxxyz. Training will also highlight set up and use of Offline files used through Martin ShowDesigner Silver which ships with Maxxyz.
