Martin Promotes Brock, Hires Baum

Martin Professional, Inc. has named Jamey Brock as national sales director for the company’s commercial segment and has appointed David Baum as national sales director for its growing public spaces segment.

For Brock's new position, he will handle the commercial market area that includes club/DJ, retail, cruise ship, themed environments, and more. He is a long-time Martin employee, having worked for the company since 1996 in various regional sales manager positions, primarily in the Midwest and East Coast.

Prior to 1996, Brock, a former Marine, worked as an independent sales rep. Before that, he worked in the audio industry in his own rep firm. He also has experience working as a DJ in nightclubs and in local radio and has been involved in the entertainment technology industry since 1983. Brock will continue to work from Martin US’s Sunrise, Florida office.

Baum comes to Martin with 19 years of experience in the outdoor, public space lighting market, including international business experience. During the last five years, he was employed by Holophane in Newark, OH, where he held positions in several key areas including marketing, product development, customer and sales training, and strategic planning. His most recent position was as vice president strategic initiatives responsible for establishing initiatives geared toward growing company wide sales. Prior to Holophane, Baum spent 14 years at Ameron Pole Products in Ventura, California.

Baum's responsibilities in the public spaces segment are extensive and include sales management, development and management of sales organization, development and management of manufacturer’s representative network, development of specifiers, end users, product development requirements and rollout, market development, and development of marketing and sales tools.

Baum will be working from Hebron, Ohio where he has lived for the past five years. He currently sits on the board of directors of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA) and has been involved with the IESNA Street & Area Lighting Committee (SALC) for the past 15 years, serving as chairman and committee member. Last October, he received the Lifetime Service Award from the SALC for his service to our industry and society.
