Martin Professional Hires Demand Planning Manager

Martin US

has announced the hiring of Tony Alhadeff as demand planning manager to facilitate and improve cross-functional communication within the organization. The position plays a critical role in the collection and use of market intelligence to drive better organizational planning. It strives to build consensus in the organization's efforts to balance supply and demand.

Alhadeff comments, "I will be working very closely with the sales organization to collect the most current market intelligence available and to ensure that this information is effectively incorporated into the organization's planning cycle. The goal is to deliver a better forecast with sufficient lead-time to drive improvements in customer service, inventory turnover, and profitability."

For the last five years, Alhadeff was employed by Rexall Sundown in Boca Raton, FL, working as part of a demand planning team that implemented a new forecasting process, as well as "best practice" collaborative forecasting and replenishment initiatives with several of the company's major customers.

"I have been working in this field for the last seven years," Alhadeff states, "first in the software industry and most recently in the nutritional supplements industry. During that time, I have had the opportunity to implement forecasting and demand planning processes in diverse industries--both small and large organizations. I have also gained a great deal of appreciation and respect for the challenges that face sales organizations and the supply chain.

"I see a great opportunity at Martin Professional to enhance the way the organization communicates and to implement new processes for proactive planning. I believe that demand planning can play an important role in driving gains in forecast accuracy, customer service levels, and inventory optimization. It is a privilege to be a part of these efforts and I am encouraged by the great support that I have received since joining the organization on April 21. I look forward to working with the Martin family in the US, Denmark, and around the world."

Alhadeff was born in Brussels, Belgium, and spent the first 12 years of his life in Central Africa (Zaire, now Congo) before his family relocated to Tampa, FL, in 1984. He holds a BA degree in finance from the University of South Florida, as well as an MBA in marketing and Master of Science degree in international business from the University of Miami. In addition to English, he speaks fluent French, functionally fluent Spanish, and some Hebrew, and holds both US and EU citizenships.
