Following his departure in July from Coemar USA (formerly Tracoman), industry veteran Marcel Fairbairn has assembled a new venture to service a supply need within the entertainment lighting industry. Gear Source will provide a service to manufacturers, distributors, rental companies, and end users in the sales and marketing of used, discontinued, and overstocked inventory.
“Automated lighting and control development is moving faster than it ever has. While it used to take three years to engineer a new moving light, we’re now seeing conception to production in six to eight months. We are excited about the opportunity that creates for us in today’s lighting market,” says Fairbairn, who is president of Gear Source.
