Bogen Communications Inc., parent company of Apogee Sound International, manufacturer of state-of-the-art sound reinforcement products for the professional audio industry, has appointed Barry Ray Luz as Western Regional Sales Manager for Apogee, Bogen, and NEAR product lines.
The Western Regional territory includes California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, the Dakotas, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Utah, Hawaii, Alaska, Arizona, New Mexico, and West Texas.
Luz will report to Dominick Buonantuono, National Sales Manager of the Commercial Audio Division of Bogen Communications, Inc. "Barry Luz will be responsible for selling Bogen, NEAR, and Apogee products," Buonantuono said. "His diverse industry background in both the contracting and live sound industries makes him uniquely qualified to represent this wide spectrum of products."
Luz brings more than 20 years of pro audio experience, including engineering live sound, working with a regional installation company, and holding both technical and sales related positions with major loudspeaker manufacturers.

"As an audio professional who wants to provide other knowledgeable sound people the utmost in product satisfaction, I’m very enthusiastic about being in a position to once again present Apogee loudspeakers to the industry."
From 1983 to 1989, Luz served as World Wide Projects and Technical Training Manager for the Bose Corporation. He joined Apogee Sound, Inc. in 1989, and served as Director of Sales and Marketing until 1993. From 1993 to 1997, Luz was Director, Sales and Marketing for Radian Audio Engineering Inc. He then served as President and CEO of Fluid Light Technologies Inc. from 1997 until last year.
