Live Music Discovery Platofrm Bandsintown Launches Fan Management Suite To Help Artists Manage Fan Relationships

The past few years have seen immense change and innovation within the music industry, driven by widespread shutdowns that forced artists to look beyond live shows for revenue, as well as the proliferation of web3 technologies. Artists want more control over their revenue streams and their relationship with their fanbase, and new platforms and apps continue to be developed to allow them to do just that.

Recognizing this need for artists, live music discovery platform Bandsintown, which has an audience of 70+ million live music fans, recently launched its new Fan Management Suite, which enables artists to own fan data and more easily manage their direct fan relationships.

The CRM tools in the Fan Management Suite include a drag-and-drop Email Builder for targeted email campaigns, as well as widgets and sign-up forms that artists can embed in their websites to sell more tickets and gather fan data, which they then own and manage via the platform. The suite of tools also comprises push notifications and analytics.

Notably, these tools are all included free with a Bandsintown for Artists account, so they don’t require any additional investment from the artists. Artists can view and manage their fan database from the platform dashboard and also have the option to integrate their existing tools such as Shazam, Shopify, and Twitch.

As with other new fan engagement tools, these features may be particularly valuable for up and coming artists who do not have the marketing team of a major label behind them, but they can be leveraged by even this biggest stars to develop a direct and more effective connection to fans, which is looking to be the way forward for the industry.

“There is no sustainable future for artists without the ability to own their first party data,” said co-founder and managing partner of Bandsintown, Fabrice Sergent. “Reaching fans is getting harder than ever as social algorithms become more unpredictable, web cookies disappear and platforms come and go. That’s why having a direct connection to fans is critical for artists. Bandsintown is the best companion to help our 560,000 artists superserve their most engaged fans, the concertgoers.”
