Le Maitre Special Effects has announced a new partnership with Jauchem & Meeh for a new handheld torch.
Jauchem & Meeh has developed the torch, called Le Torcia, that can be seen on many Broadway, Las Vegas, and regional productions. Le Maitre will manufacture Le Torcia and distribute it through its world wide dealer network. “It’s a real pleasure to work with such an acclaimed special effects designer as Greg Meeh,” says Adrian Segeren, president, Le Maitre Special Effects. "Greg has spent years perfecting the torch and it seemed like a natural fit to have Le Maitre manufacture and distribute it."
The Le Torcia is a dependable and reliable hand held torch used in stage applications where the actor must carry real fire on stage. It offers excellent features including butane powered, optional electric ignition, gas safety release, anodized black aluminum construction, variable flame height, and a lightweight design. In the near future additional optional brackets and hardware will be made available for the many uses planned for the Le Torcia. Butane refills are offered both in 1 oz and 2 oz canisters.
