LDI's New Technology Breakfast: Lasers and Special Effects on Saturday, November 19, 2022, began with some information about laser show permits from Patrick Murphy, executove director of the International Laser Display Association/ILDA. The Category A Laser Show Standard is an initiative to ease the process for using lasers at small to midsize events. The initiative is currently in draft form and inviting comments.

TwisterX
Light and easy to handle, this fan meets a range of needs from movies and television production, to outdoor concerts and theatre. With bi-directional functionality, the TwisterX can use forward-blade rotation to widely disperse airflow. When reversing the rotation, the built-in Air Straighteners focus and direct the airflow.
Snow Squall
Embodied by a one-piece heavy-duty polymer plastic casing, the Snow Squall has a 220V – 7 Amp industrial blower. Hidden backstage, it can push artificial snow up to 30 feet. Once installed, the snow nozzle remains hidden in the scenery showering snow over the desired area. Maximize the snow effect by attaching the nozzle to our Swivel Bracket.
The Premier+ Fog Machine
The powder-coated aluminum exo-chassis makes it easy to handle and provides greater durability. Using the industrial grade rubber feet rotate the Premier+ 90 degrees to create vertical fog effects. Stack multiple units with the tray accessory to create a fog wall.
Polar Vortex
Embodied by a one-piece heavy-duty polymer plastic casing, the Polar Vortex has a 220V – 13 Amp industrial blower. Hidden backstage, it can push artificial snow up to 50 feet. Once installed, the snow nozzle remains hidden in the scenery showering snow over the desired area. Maximize the snow effect by attaching the nozzle to our Swivel Bracket.

Cyclofetti
The Cyclofetti uses 18lbs of Co2 per minute @ 700 PSI to propel 5.7lbs of confetti into the air. With the Adjustable Bracket this unit can be located in the lighting rig, on the floor, or wherever it is best suited for the application. The Cyclofetti dimensions are 35” long by 18” wide and the weight is 50 lbs. It’s powered by either 120 or 240 Vac 50/60 Hz. This unique design makes the Cyclofetti a significant asset in any special effects equipment inventory.
Air Cannon
This unit is triggered or activated by an electric valve from the Internal Air Tank Supply of 125 PSI-9 Bar. The Air Cannon is equipped with an Air Gauge. It will launch Pro Fetti or Cut Paper up to 50 ft/15 m and Streamers up to 80 ft/24 m For various effects this machine can be mounted to truss or used at stage level; the barrels can be positioned accordingly.The Air Cannon has a Double Barrel Configuration. The capacity of each barrel is 1.5 lbs/.68 kg of Pro Fetti or Cut Paper or up to 2.5 Streamer Sleeves.
Quick Shot
The Quick Shot is a simple but very effective launcher for Streamers and Pro Fetti. It is equipped with a simple manual triggering mechanism allowing the user greater control of the effect. The Quick Shot does NOT require a lifting cup or back pressure cap. You will find this product to be very effective and affordable while maintaining quality.
Using a 16-gram CO2 Cartridge, you are able to launch these products to a height of 50´ (15 meters).

The company showcased a new fan engagement technology that an audience can participate with without any additional gear such as wristbands or glasses.
Smart Phone Light Show
Synchronized light shows using the cell phones of your audience, whether it is an NFL stadium or a high school auditorium. CUE transmits data between any microphone and speaker using sound waves to exchange information without needing WiFi, Bluetooth, or cellular service.
Users scan a QR code to participate in the lightshow, and organizers can sell sponsorships or ads.
Cue is also offering a new product that enables an audience member to scan a QR code and livestream their own smart phone camera feed to the big screen - making spectators into participants.
