Largest Ever Rig of SGM Light P-10s Illuminates “Adele Arena”

On August 2nd 2024, fans of Adele witnessed a first of its kind experience when the multiple award winning performer kicked off a limited run of 10 performances at a purpose built temporary arena. The 80,000-seat outdoor arena constructed at Messe München featured a 220 meter (721 ft.) LED wall along with thousands of lighting fixtures.

400 SGM Light P-10s were selected to illuminate the audience and provide additional effects. Installed above the audience on pylons at multiple points in the arena, the fixtures were a natural choice for job considering their IP65 rating and proven track record in touring. And with over 40,000 lumen maximum output, the P-10s easily brought the lighting effects into the crowd.

A large quantity of Q-8 Strobe Washes were also utilized around the stage. The production was a joint effort with Neg Earth in the U.K. working together with Motion Group and Solotech in Germany to facilitate supply and installation. The venue was designed by Stufish with Lighting Design by Cory Fitzgerald of Silent House.

A workhorse of the entertainment and fixed install markets, the P-10 is ideal for stadiums, arenas, convention centers, bridges, large format stage shows, sports, or any event that requires an ultra-bright and super-long throw fixture. The Q-8 is an incredibly punchy DualSource strobe wash with powerful pixel segments for dynamic effects. Wireless DMX and SGM Light’s patented dehumidification make the P-10 and Q-8 go-to fixtures for any outdoor event.
