Lamina Announces Promotion of Robert Burdalski to C.O.O

Lamina Ceramics, a manufacturer of high-power LED light engines, today announced the promotion of Robert Burdalski to chief operating officer (COO). Having previously served as vice president of operations, Burdalski has been with Lamina for more than one year and has over 25 years of product development engineering experience.

Burdalski came to Lamina off the heels of his own venture, Bella Technologies, where he executed solid-state lighting projects for MGM Grand Las Vegas and Yonkers, New York, among others. Burdalski also developed several advances for Lamina while at Bella Technologies, including RF test fixturing and probing stations and an automated life test system for Lamina's high power LED light engines.

"With his extensive technical knowledge and management experience, Bob has helped our company reach impressive technical milestones while operating efficiently," said Greg Blonder, chairman of the board of directors for Lamina Ceramics. "On behalf of the board of directors, I am excited to appoint Bob to this leadership role, and am confident that he will continue to contribute to Lamina's business growth."

Before his venture into the solid-state lighting industry, Burdalski served as vice president of engineering for EMC Technology, Inc. in Cherry Hill, NJ and director of engineering for SL Waber, Inc., a manufacturer of surge suppressers and power distribution units, and Day Sequerra, a manufacturer of audio systems.

Burdalski and Blonder will lead the company until the search to replace former CEO Taylor Adair is concluded later this summer.
