L-Acoustics Names Josh Maichele House of Worship Specialist

Underscoring its ongoing initiative to deliver the best customer service and support to its expanding roster of vertical market segments, L-Acoustics has named Install Application Engineer Joshua Maichele as its House of Worship Specialist for the US and Canada. The appointment announcement comes from L-Acoustics Inc. CEO, USA & Canada, Laurent Vaissié.

In his new role, Maichele now serves as the manufacturer’s frontline contact for all house-of-worship and faith-based organization clients, as well as for consultants and contractors working on related projects. He is based in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area.

Maichele first joined L-Acoustics in May of 2016 with the initial title of Application Engineer, transitioning into the specialized role of Install Application Engineer a year later. Prior to that, he served as an independent consultant for L-Acoustics, as well as a managing member of Division 16 Audiovisual. From 2005 to 2016, Maichele spent 11 years working as a freelance audio engineer and production manager for Christ In Youth, a non-profit Christian youth service organization.

“Although Josh began his professional audio career at the age of 22, he actually started mixing church sound when he was only nine years old,” says Vaissié. “Over the years, he’s been an AVL systems designer and Certified Provider integrator of L-Acoustics systems, front-of-house and monitor engineer, production manager, tour manager and more for a wide variety of clients, including some of the nation’s largest churches and congregations. As houses of worship has steadily grown into one of our most active market segments, Josh’s background and experience ideally position him to provide the best care and dedicated solutions for our HOW customers.”

Maichele is truly enthusiastic about his new focus. “I am passionate about helping the church as a whole more clearly convey the word from the stage as well as breaking down the barriers between the stage and the congregation,” he says. “It is beyond exciting for me to be a resource for my clients, not only on good sound design and practices, but also in how and why to mix most effectively on our best-in-class sound systems. I look forward to growing this service and influence with L-Acoustics, working with a wide diversity of cultures and denominations to bring the best possible experience to congregations throughout North America.”
