Dublin and Bussels - With the European summer festival season in full swing, Konligo, a Brussels-based VUB spin-off, announces the closing of a €1.1 million investment round, with MTN joining as a strategic partner. The investment will finance the next stage of Konligo’s rapid-deployment technology that has already demonstrated that a premium stage roof can be set up in thirty minutes, and a premium tent in five.
Behind every festival sits a logistics operation the public rarely sees: stages, roofs, and tents assembled days in advance using heavy, slow equipment. Since 2018, Konligo has been building an alternative, with foldable structures that turn arbitrary shapes into professional, compact, and rapidly deployable constructions. Developed and manufactured in Belgium, Konligo’s structures are constructed from aluminum that contains between 70 to 80 percent recycled material.
The company's best-known product is the "Fastival," an 8 by 4 meter stage roof that can be assembled by two people in under thirty minutes. The structure is rated for wind speeds of up to 100 kilometers per hour and loads of up to 250 kilograms. More recently, Konligo launched "The Tent," a premium alternative to the classic party tent and inflatable dome. This structure can be set up by one person in under five minutes with no pump or tools required.
This combination of speed, design, and engineering is now attracting several established names from across the events industry including MTN. A global leader in staging, rigging, and distribution across North America and Europe, MTN is joining Konligo as a strategic partner. Known for delivering the industry’s highest-capacity temporary structures, MTN supports thousands of events each year, including F1, CMA Fest and FIFA 2026.
"We believe we're only scratching the surface of this rapid-deployment technology, especially as we collaborate on new products that combine our respective areas of expertise," said Ron Rose, Global Managing Director of MTN who will also serve on Konligo's board.
The investment round also includes continued backing from Trividend, supported by finance.brussels, and investment from Entrevest. Andy Moors, CEO of Veldeman, and Edwin Van der Vennet, founder of beMatrix, are also joining as strategic partners. Cresco provided legal guidance on the transaction.
"Our goal was to accelerate Konligo by bringing in expertise that takes the company to the next level, something we've needed until now. That's why the mix of strategic partners and a VC fund mattered," says Aushim Koumar, CEO and founder of Konligo.
The funds will not only accelerate the global rollout of "The Tent," but also support Konligo in their development of larger structures for the events industry. Additionally, Konligo is exploring entirely new applications for its foldable technology, including structures designed to protect people and equipment in the defense sector.
