Kamlet Gets New Role At JBL

JBL Professional has promoted Rick Kamlet to the position of senior director, installed sound marketing. In this new capacity, Kamlet will handle the combined vertical market responsibilities for both the engineered sound and the commercial sound segments of the installed sound contracting market.

"Rick has demonstrated an outstanding thoroughness in his approach to developing both the product and the marketing for JBL Professional Commercial Sound offerings," stated Mark Gander, vice president, marketing. "The success of the Control Contractor and Soundzone programs is a testament to his and his team's hard work, focus and understanding of the business."

Kamlet has been with JBL Professional for 10 years, having held positions of senior product manager for a number of vertical markets as well as director of commercial sound for the past three years. His roles prior to joining JBL included director of engineering, director of technical services and national sales manager for a number of professional audio manufacturers, most of whom are focused on the contractor marketplace.

"JBL is one of the great names in professional audio systems with a rich history that spans over 50 years. I look forward to the opportunity of directing JBL Professional's continuing growth in the installed sound marketplace and further increasing JBL's value to our fixed installation customers," says Kamlet about his new position.

With the addition of the other segments of the installed Sound Contracting loudspeaker business, Kamlet will now coordinate JBL Professional's overall marketing activities to the sound contracting community. This includes several JBL Professional product lines including Control and Control Contractor, Venue, Sound Power, and Marquis Series as well as the new EVO Intelligent Loudspeaker Systems.
