PRG, Department Head, Technical Infrastructure

The Department Head is primarily responsible for the preparation of equipment  designated and order accuracy of the assigned Department. 

  • Management and supervision of all staff assigned. 
  • Use the PRG Wiki database for Technical Service Notices   
  • Ensures the equipment assigned is kept to good working order 
  • All markings are removed once the equipment is returned to the dept 
  • Ensure all software is current to PRG standards 
  • Check and test equipment to ensure the unit is fully working 
  • Ensure PRG labels are in place and up to current standards 
  • Other duties as assigned.

David Geffen School of Drama at Yale/Yale Repertory Theatre, Projections Technician.

Some responsibilities include:

  • Guides, advises, mentors, and leads graduate level students and interns in a professional setting with a commitment to a diverse and inclusive environment
  • Reads, interprets, and executes projections paperwork for productions
  • Participates in load-in, notes sessions, technical rehearsals, and strike of productions
  • Participates in the maintenance and repair of projection department facilities, tools, and equipment
  • Trains crew in operation of projection and video software and equipment.
  • Supervises appropriate personnel

MW Lighting, Assistant Lighting Designers for Future Roles

  • Experience working in a theatrical lighting  setting, using software/hardware etc, (ETC Eos, Vor, Vectorworks, Lightwright, Google Suite, FileMaker, ClearCom...)
  • Experience designing and call followspots for musical theatre, including the creation of tracking and cue paperwork.
  • Experience working with IATSE crews and leading technicians in work and focus notes.
  • Experience in theatrical lighting documentation and archival processes.
