The Head of Scenic Art leads the paint shop in supporting the designer’s vision related to the painting of scenic and prop elements within the allotted time, budget, and scope of resources. Also responsible for managing all paint shop employees, leading projects and directing the work of Scenic Artists. Monitors supplies and works with the Scenic Shopper/Buyer in the ordering of materials.  Supports the health and safety standards of the Guthrie in the paint shop. University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & DanceAssociate Theatrical Lighting Manager

Participate in installation, technical rehearsals and load out of all theatrical lighting systems for approximately nine fully staged productions, one or two studio productions and one Musical Theatre showcase per season. Assist in leading undergraduate lighting students and student employees through projects by working closely with them in hands-on situations to assist in their training and complete production needs.

The seasonal salary range is $38,400 - $41,600 per season/$960 - $1,040 per week/$24.00 - $26.00 per hour. Apply here.

Chauvet ProfessionalEvents Production Leader 

Plan, manage and execute the production side of marketing events within the US, such as industry trade shows, open houses, road shows, workshops, customer events, etc. and is responsible for driving results at each event and pursuing ongoing optimization. The position will: layout plot and electrical requirements, work with event experience manager on logistic requirements and deadlines for drayage, electric, shipping, and direct the procurement, coordination and management of third-party vendors.
