Iwanski Joins Big Apple Lights

As of November 1, 2001, Lee Iwanski joins the staff of Big Apple Lights Corp. the New York City-based full service entertainment industry lighting rental and sales shop.

Iwanski brings 30 years of experience to Big Apple Lights. He began in the lighting rental shop business as an apprentice at Four Star in 1971 where he worked for 25 years with his mentor, the late Frank DeVerna. For the majority of those years he was the head of the lamp department. At Big Apple he assumes the transitional position of business liaison, interfacing between Big Apple and union-related jobs, helping the shop to expand and to meet the growing demands and challenges of a rapidly changing market. Currently, Iwanski is also the house electrician at the Music Box Theatre.

Big Apple has always been known for its work in the Off Broadway and Off Off Broadway markets. Thanks to a recent agreement with IATSE, the company is now poised to handle Broadway productions as well.
