Introducing The Raven, A Two-Universe Art-Net/sACN Node Built In Wisconsin

The Raven is built around flexibility. Connect over RJ45 ethernet for the stability of a hardwired setup, or pair via Bluetooth for wireless configuration and control from anywhere in the room. With a PoE-compatible router or injector, a single ethernet cable handles both data and power. No PoE? The included USB-C cable has you covered.

That combination makes the Raven especially well suited for permanent installations, where it pairs hardwired reliability with the convenience of walking the floor during setup. It's also a natural fit for commissioning new rigs. Assign addresses, set channel modes, and test fixtures over RDM without ever touching a console.

For users of Blizzard's At Full app, getting started is even simple: pair the Raven from the Configure page and you're ready to go, just like Blizzard’s previously released Stingray Art-Net node.

Extended Wingspan
Out of the box, the Raven outputs a full universe of DMX/RDM over 5-pin XLR. Need more? The included Universe Extender doubles capacity to two universes. That’s 1,024 channels of control from a single node.

Under the hood, the Raven supports DHCP or static IPv4 configuration, HTP or LTP merging of two network sources, unicast or multicast E1.31 packets, and a data failsafe mode with scene recording for when the unexpected happens.
Natively Grown
The Raven represents a milestone for Blizzard Pro's manufacturing operations. The housing, software, and hardware were all designed and assembled at the company's Wisconsin HQ all by actual human beings.

A question about why Blizzard would devote such time and energy to designing and manufacturing Raven in the US seemed to ruffle Komassa's feathers. "Have you not heard? It was my understanding that, well, everyone... had heard," Komassa crowed. When asked for clarity about exactly what "everyone had heard," Komassa stood his ground and dug in his talons. "B-B-B BIRD BIRD BIRD. BIRD IS THE WORD. A WELL A BIRD BIRD BIRD. THE BIRD IS THE WORD. WELL, DON'T YOU KNOW... ABOUT THE BIRD? WELL, EVERYBODY KNOWS THAT THE BIRD IS THE WORD!"
