Impact Video Helps Inaugurate NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg

Impact Video provided LED Screens for the second inaugural address of New York City Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg. Publicly sworn in on January 1, 2006, Mayor Bloomberg recited the oath of office with his two daughters, Emma and Georgina, at his side. The short inaugural address touched on the progress Bloomberg has made and set a more serious tone for the future.

Impact Video provided two Illuminator Truck Mounted LED Screens featuring Daktronics ProStar® LED technology. The 17’x23’ screens were positioned in front of City Hall on either side of the stage and angled toward the crowd of several thousand for optimal viewing of the proceedings. Daktronics ProStar® LED technology delivers high brightness video imagery. The mobile nature of the Illuminator Truck Mounted Screens is the perfect choice for most outdoor applications that require a high-quality screen with limited setup time. The need for additional labor, ground support, external generators, and forklifts are eliminated due to their design.

The outdoor City Hall ceremony boasted welcoming remarks by Barbara Walters and an introduction by John Lithgow. After a rousing rendition of "New York, New York" by Liza Minnelli, the crowd moved on to a party at the Emigrant Industrial Savings Bank Building, a downtown Manhattan landmark dating to 1908.
