i-Vision Names German and Irish Distributors

Leading UK LED lighting design and manufacturer i-Vision appointed two new European distributors - in Germany and Ireland - for its full range of LED products.

In Germany, Munich-based Richard Schahl Group GmbH (the world’s largest lamp distributors) will be promoting the i-Vision brand, and in Ireland, i-Vision has partnered up with Dublin-based FibreLED. The deal is part of ongoing expansion plans by Welsh-based i-Vision which includes the launch of Lumos – a whole new range of LED products.

i-Vision chose the Richard Schahl Group GmbH because they are one of the leading German lighting practitioners, with a dedicated LED division. They have a large infrastructure, plenty of contacts, and an excellent reputation in the architectural, commercial and industrial sectors. The deal was finalized at the recent Light & Building exhibition in Frankfurt.

i-Vision’s LED business has been very active in Ireland over the last two years, particularly in entertainment and leisure areas. FibreLED – already a distributor for SuperVision - was looking to expand its current portfolio, which has been highly successful in the fibre optic and signage fields. The next logical step was to compliment this with a quality LED brand onboard.

i-Vision has spent the last 12 months developing a full range of standard internal and external LED products for architectural, commercial, retail, and industrial applications. They can also design and build completely bespoke LED fittings. i-Vision’s Projects division is engaged in designing, specifying, installing and commissioning complete architectural lighting schemes, backed by the company’s formidable reputation for technical knowledge and solid support structure.

"This is just the start of our European dealer network. It reflects the increasing importance of the European marketplace for our products and the growing number of inquiries we’re receiving," says i-Visions' Luke Dodd. "In Richard Schahl we now have a respected and knowledgeable partner to expand our business in central Europe. There’s a great synergy between the two companies and we look forward to a positive and active year with many challenging projects."

Richard Schahl’s Erich Obermeier comments, "Working with i-Vision opens many business opportunities. We can now offer a whole dynamic new range of LED fixtures, as well as having access to i-Vision’s custom design-and-build facilities, and their vast experience in the LED world."

The new distributor deals reflect the growing importance of ‘lighting design’ as a fundamental element of new builds and refurbishment projects. The energy efficiency and low running and maintenance costs of LED fixtures make them ideal candidates for permanent and long term lighting installations of all types.
