Hamilton-Hamilten: Ten Years On Broadway

August 6, 2015: The ground shook when Hamilton premiered on Broadway, ushering in a new style of theatre-making with a rap score featuring the Founding Fathers of the great American experiment in democracy. The American Revolution spawned a theatrical evolution and those who were in the room where it happened will never forget the experience!

With music, book and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda (based on the 2004 biography Alexander Hamilton by Ron Chernow), and directed by Tommy Kail, Hamilton enjoyed a successful run at The Public Theatre before moving to Broadway. Ten years later the multiple award-winning Hamilton is still rocking the Richard Rodgers.

Take a look:

Sets designed by David Korins, lighting by  Howell Binkley, sound by Nevin Steinberg, and costumes by Paul Tazewell create an indelible universe for Hamilton's fast-paced score -with incredible orchestrations by music director Alex Lacamoire - and fast-moving choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler. The marketing for the show has also been phenomenal with a strong social media presence and the ongoing Ham4Ham events outside of the theatre featuring cast members and often Miranda himself.
