GE Lighting Institute to Explore Commercial and Industrial Lighting Fundamentals

’s Cleveland, OH-based Lighting Institute has announced its first conference for 2003. Fundamentals of Commercial and Industrial Lighting is designed for newcomers to the lighting industry and provides basic product and application training for commercial and industrial lighting. The program will feature lectures, interactive workshops, and full-scale lighting demonstrations. Topics will include lighting terminology, lighting measurements and color, an overview of major light source families and systems, and application modules for retail, office, industrial, and outdoor lighting.

The event will be held three times: January 27-31, March 31-April 4, and June 16-20, at the Lighting Institute’s home base at Nela Park in Cleveland. The fee for the conference is $550, which includes a continental breakfast, breaks, lunches, transportation to and from the Lighting Institute each day, and one dinner. Special negotiated hotel rates are available to conference participants. Attendees at the conference will earn 2.8 CEU credits.
