Works & Process at the Guggenheim presented Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater At 60, back in 2018, but it deserves a new look, every bit as fresh and meaningful today. So In honor of the company's 60th anniversary, artistic director Robert Battle, artistic director emerita Judith Jamison, and choreographer Rennie Harris joined in a conversation moderated by author Susan Fales-Hill that spotlighted what truly makes the company so special. Alvin Ailey dancers performed highlights from signature classics and commissioned works, pushing dance into new territory.
