Falconer Lands at Doubleplusgood Media

After a successful three years at high technology distributor, A.C.T Lighting, Inc., Mike Falconer is leaving to start his own technical writing and marketing company: Doubleplusgood Media. Falconer leaves A.C.T at the end of January.

Falconer moved to the US in 2001 to work for A.C.T Lighting, distributors of MA Lighting, Zero 88, and Artistic Licence in North America. Primarily working in the fields of Technical Sales, Support, and Marketing, Falconer has been part of the team at A.C.T Lighting that made the grandMA, arguably, the premier console in the North American market.

"Mike has been a valuable member of our team," says Bob Gordon, president & CEO. "I am sorry to see him go, but I wish him the best and I hope to continue our close personal and business relationship."

Over the last year, Falconer has become a regular in the industry press, writing on subjects such as programming, Ethernet, and training. He has also been prolific in the creation of technical documents and user guides, all of which can be downloaded from A.C.T Lighting's website: www.actlighting.com

"Writing has always been a passion for me and something that I have enjoyed immensely," says Falconer. "Branching out on my own with Doubleplusgood Media will give me the chance to write on a more regular basis, as well as get involved with some marketing and development projects."

And why "Doubleplusgood" Media?

"Apologies to George Orwell on that one. It's meant with affection," jokes Falconer.

Falconer lives in Pasadena, California with his wife Robin.
