Extron Electronics is pleased to announce a new series of one-eighth rack width, mini twisted pair transmitters and receivers for composite or S-video and stereo audio (balanced or unbalanced). Part of the VersaToolsTM line of compact, affordable products, MTPs can send and receive composite video or S-video and audio signals up to 1,000 feet over Extron Skew-FreeTM A/V UTP Cable or any other CAT 5, 5e, or 6 unshielded twisted pair cable (UTP). Extron twisted pair products help system integrators maintain professional video quality while taking advantage of the reduced cost, weight, size, and ease of termination found with twisted pair cable.
MTP transceivers are designed for easy integration into new and existing A/V environments, and can fit just about anywhere: in racks (up to eight in a single 1U rack), under tables and desktops, or next to a projector. Because MTPs are powered products, they provide active balanced transmissions for both video and audio. The sharpness control feature enables restoration of video level and sharpness for optimal picture performance. There are also two LED (front and back) power indicators for easy troubleshooting, which can be powered from either the transmitter or the receiver side for ease of integration.
The MTP series offers six types of transmitters and six corresponding receivers:

*MTP T AV and MTP R AV for composite video and balanced stereo audio
*MTP T AV RCA and MTP R AV RCA for composite video and unbalanced stereo audio
*MTP T SV and MTP R SV for S-video only
*MTP T SV A and MTPR SV A for S-video and balanced stereo audio
*MTP T SV RCA MTP R SV RCA for S-video and unbalanced stereo audio
