ExpoPlatform Partners With Sessionboard to Enhance Event Content Data Integration

Event tech is going through a bit of rough patch as many event organizers rush to return to in-person events and leave virtual and hybrid behind. Technology is essential to in-person events as well and can greatly facilitate the planning process as well as create a better experience for speakers, exhibitors, and attendees.

Content is one of the most important elements of events, and arguably the most important element of virtual events in particular. ExpoPlatform has announced a new partnership with speaker and content management platform Sessionboard to facilitate content integration and help make sure organizers and speakers are on the same page.

With this new partnership, content will be seamlessly transferred from Sessionboard and will sync with agendas in ExpoPlatform once the information — including bios, headshots, presentations, etc. — is approved. The event website and mobile app will then be updated in real time.

“We are really impressed with the [way] Sessionboard streamlines content workflows for conference producers. This partnership is a great addition to our technology stack and enhances our all-in-one offering for conferences of all sizes,” said Luke Bilton, Chief Growth Officer at ExpoPlatform.

The company notes that this will be a particularly useful integration for academic or content-heavy events. The partnership also reflects a growing trend of some event tech providers partnering to enhance their offerings and provide more value to users without such a major transaction as a mergers or acquisition.

Chris Carver, co-founder and CEO of Sessionboard, added, “When building out Sessionboard and the integration with ExpoPlatform, our team was fully dedicated to ensuring that the end user experience — the organiser, the evaluator, the speaker and the attendee — was second to none. Our goal is to save conference organisers a great deal of time, while giving them a powerful tool to help elevate their event. The ExpoPlatform and Sessionboard integration is an exciting step in that direction.”
