Design Criteria
Whenever Silent Partners Studio is brought onto a show as the content designers, their main goal is to always keep the artist as the focal point, and this goal was no different for Styles’ Together, Together tour. This goal, along with ensuring the audience feels connected to the artist, has led Silent Partners Studio to specialize in live IMAG FX.
Project Description
Harry Styles’ Together, Together Tour supports his fourth album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally, and is presented along live effects designed and never seen before in the entertainment industry. Styles kicked off the stadium run on May 16th, 2026 in Amsterdam.
Silent Partners Studio did the content design for the two hour set, which also featured a custom mirror wall, an LED floor, approximately 1,700 lighting fixtures, and lasers to bring Harry Styles and Creative Director Molly Hawkins vision for this show to life.
The team pushed the envelope of what is possible with live IMAG FX for this tour with the support of NOTCH, creating custom tools to allow for Gabriel Coutu Dumont (Creative Director), Heath Saunders (Lead Notch Designer and Integrator) and Steve Foster (Video Programmer) to program the show in a way that composited video content & live FX around Styles. There could be content in front of, behind and shooting out from Styles all while a 4 camera cut was happening simultaneously and while giving the original background it’s own treatment.
The new tools used for this tour within the visual content and live IMAG FX allowed Silent Partners Studio to use traditional video content with live IMAG in ways that have never been done before. Composting live effects around Styles himself allowed for not only the audience to be able to see him no matter where on the 2,000 square feet of stage Styles was, but to further convey the array of emotions of the set by being able to create musicality in so many different ways — whether it was more playful effects during Watermelon Sugar, or creating a moment of intensity during Season 2 Weightloss.
Challenges and Solution
To be able to pull off new tricks that have never been done before, and especially at this scale. Silent Partners Studio was thrilled to work closely with NOTCH on this project in developing these custom tools. Composting live is quite novel and allowed for a completely new way of programming, which also speaks to the show team Silent Partners Studio worked with on this one. The amazing show team led by Molly Hawkins (Creative Director) that allowed Silent Partners and worked with them to ensure success with these new tools were Andrew Thorton (Production Manager), Baz Halpin (Producer) & Vincent Richard (Design Producer) from Silent House, Kirk Miller (Technical Director) & Eric Marchwinski (Lighting Designer) at Earlybird Visual, Ant Barrett (Camera Director), Steve Foster (Video Programmer) and Josh Key (Video Operator). They helped to allow us to push these new tools to their full abilities.
