ETC Promotes Smith To Field Project Coordinator

ETC has promoted David Smith to be the second field project coordinator for their western regional office in Hollywood, CA. Smith, who worked as a sales assistant for ETC for a year, will work with Tim Guion, ETC western regional sales manager and Karl Haas, ETC architectural regional manager.

Smith will join colleague FPC David West in covering the sales region, which includes Hollywood, Las Vegas, and Western Canada. Most recently Smith was the lead trainer and support person for the new ETC Congo™ control console installation at The Tonight Show with Jay Leno at NBC Studios in Burbank, CA.

Beyond ETC, Smith has worked as a technician for Call Brothers, Altadena, CA; as light board programmer at Occidental Studios in Hollywood, and as repair technician at Sony Pictures Entertainment in Culver City, CA.

Smith earned a bachelors degree in Theatrical Lighting with a minor in Film Lighting from Culver City Academy of Performing Arts, Culver City, CA. He completed a Rigging Concepts and Design Certificate Program (Tomcat International, 2000) and CM Loadstar Certification. In 2002, he studied Theatre Lighting and Design at Santa Monica College in Santa Monica, CA.
