ETC Names New Mexican Distributor

Middleton, WI-based lighting manufacturer Electronic Theatre Controls (ETC) has named Teletec de Mexico S.A de C.V. as its new exclusive distributors in Mexico and Central America, effective immediately.

Teletec brings 30 years of entertainment- and architectural-lighting experience in the region, having previously sold and serviced lighting brands such as Kleigl, Colortran, and Strand. Owned by lighting veteran Didier Alexander and son David, Teletec not only handles product sales and service, but project management and systems integration.

In addition to serving customers from their Mexico City headquarters, Teletec has regional offices in Guadalajara, Monterrey, Cancún, and Laredo. According to Didier Alexander, “Teletec will be stocking the most popular ETC equipment—like Source Fours and Express consoles—so there will be convenient availability on orders.”

Teletec is known in particular for supplying sophisticated lighting and audio to the Mexican capital’s major television networks and performing arts centers, implementing state-the-art technical advances. David Alexander explains the decision to work with ETC as part of their progressive attitude toward new developments in the industry: “We decided to go with ETC because we see the new Emphasis lighting control technology — with its design and visualization capabilities — as the technology of the future.”
