E\T\C Image At PLASA 2007

Anglo-French large format projection specialists E\T\C Image will exhibit at PLASA 2007, highlighting their products and services offered in this specialized area of the entertainment industry.

The company specializes in the techniques and skills required for high-impact, large format video and film projections onto buildings and all types of interesting surfaces and structures.

E\T\C provides the equipment (hire and/or sales), plus the creative and technical expertise to realize multimedia shows of all types, from the concept and design of all elements, through the programming and delivery. This can be as a complete turnkey solution or developed in collaboration with a client and their design team.

At PLASA 2007, E\T\C will demonstrate its proprietary control software OnlyView. OnlyView deals with all the major challenges of large format projection programming, including complex masking and soft-edging of images.

E\T\C has a complete stock of the brightest Barco and Christie video projectors on the market, and also the more traditional PIGI film/slide projectors.

The company has projected onto some of the most iconic buildings in the world, including Buckingham Palace and Nelson’s Column in London; Saint George’s Hall in Liverpool, England; Scotland’s Edinburgh Castle; The Taj Mahal Hotel in Mumbai; Dubai International Financial Centre; Malta’s Fort St, Angelo in Valetta Harbour; the Château des Duc de Bretagne in Nantes; and many more.

E\T\C has also provided large format projection solutions for high profile global events including the opening and closing ceremonies for the 2002 Manchester Commonwealth Games and the 2006 Doha Asian Games; the opening ceremony for the 2007 Gulf World Cup in Abu Dhabi and last month’s African Games in Algiers.

Projection is an interesting and different way of transforming a surface—be it a building or a water screen—and a powerful alternative tool for imparting information to the public. It can be either static or moving and is ideal for all types of storytelling.
