ESTA's Behind the Scenes Announces Holiday Gifts

Behind the Scenes, an initiative of the ESTA Foundation to provide industry members with financial support when they are seriously ill or injured, announced today that two well-known industry companies are making donations to the program as part of their holiday charitable giving.

Every year, Rose Brand sends out holiday cards to their customers with a message that a donation has been made in their names to a charitable cause. This year Rose Brand will be contributing to the newly launched Behind the Scenes, a charity that directly benefits anyone who works in the industry, from stagehands and designers to employees of manufacturers, dealers, and production companies.

“With the inception of Behind the Scenes, it was natural that we should want to support a charity that takes care of our own," says Rose Brand president George Jacobstein. "We hope that others in the industry see the value and throw their support behind this important program.”

Scharff Weisberg also decided that supporting Behind the Scenes is a great way to pay tribute to their customers this holiday season. “It’s an honor to give back to an industry that has given us so much,” says Peter Scharff, chairman of Scharff Weisberg.

Individuals or companies can support Behind the Scenes by making donations online at www.estafoundation.org or by calling 212-244-1421. All contributions are tax deductible, and all pledges and funds raised in the first year will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $125,000, by the Altman Family.
