ESTA introduces the Rock Our World Awards, which recognize groundbreaking achievement by ESTA members in new products, product applications, or projects. These awards were created to acknowledge the genius of both the creator of technology and the designer or integrator who applies the technology in a real world environment.
Have you seen a new product that you knew would change the industry, or one that was so simple but so brilliant you couldn't imagine why it hadn't been done before? Have you seen a product used in a way that was truly remarkable in its application, whether simple or complex? Have you seen a project that knocked your socks off because of the level of collaboration required or the magic it created? Now is your chance to acknowledge their impact.
Anyone in the industry may nominate a product, product application, or project for a Rock Our World Award, but an ESTA Member must be involved as the designer, manufacturer, supplier, or collaborator. It could be something you saw at a trade show, read about in an industry magazine, or experienced at a performance you attended. It could also be something your company created.
A panel of judges, including well-known industry veterans and rising young stars, will get to have all the fun determining the finalists and the winners. The finalists will be announced in early September and the winners will be announced at ESTA's annual dinner on October 23rd, the evening before the LDI show opens.
Technical inspiration drives our industry forward, allowing designers to create richer, more exciting experiences for their audiences. New technology also solves problems, making life more efficient, safer, and easier for all involved in the creative process. It's time to honor those achievements in truly innovative product design, remarkable product applications, and the realization of breathtaking projects by nominating them for a Rock Our World Award.
