ESTA (the Entertainment Services and Technology Association) announces the winners of the 2005 Dealers’ and Manufacturers' Choice Awards.
The Dealers' Choice Customer Service Awards offer ESTA's Dealer Members the opportunity to publicly recognize those manufacturers that provide consistently good customer service throughout the year. These awards recognize superior performance in four main areas: Customer Service, Shipping and Billing, Technical Support, and Quotations/Project Management. Dealers cast their votes for Manufacturers in each of three categories based on the Manufacturers’ number of employees, 1-6, 7-25, and over 25.
The winners for 2005 are: Doug Fleenor Design, Inc., City Theatrical, Inc., and Apollo Design Technology, Inc.

Manufacturers cast their votes for Dealers in each of three categories based on the Dealers’ number of employees, 1-6, 7-25, and over 25.
The winners for 2005 are: Indianapolis Stage Sales & Rentals, Inc., Production Advantage, Inc., and Stage Equipment & Lighting, Inc.
The Dealers’ Choice Product Awards recognize outstanding entertainment technology products in three categories: Expendable, Widget and Equipment. These Awards were established in recognition of the fact that dealers have an enormous impact on the success of a new product, as well as a unique perspective on its merits.
The winners for 2005 are:
Expendable Category – MATTH-TIE from Matthews Studio Equipment. MATTH-TIE is used for securing butterflies and overheads to frames, as well as many other uses on set and on location. MATTH-TIE eliminates the awkward and clumsy tying of knots and bows presently used to draw the fabric tightly across the frame. Even with large, heavy solids MATTH-TIE is fast, secure and it ensures a very taut and tight fabric. MATTH-TIE makes set up and tear down both faster and easier.
Widget Category – LSC-19-WPFC Weatherproof Flip Cover for 19 Pin Receptacle from Lex Products Corp. The LSC-19-WPFC provides NEMA 3R (weatherproof) protection to 19 pin receptacles. It easily retrofits existing applications; allows the densest possible spacing of outlets; meets UL1640 requirements for self closing; and has a stainless steel frame and spring for strength, weather and corrosion resistance and long life.

The Customer Service and Dealer of the Year Awards were presented at ESTA's Annual Dinner held in conjunction with the LDI 2005 show on Thursday, November 10th and the Product Awards were presented during the 2005 LDI Awards ceremony on Saturday, November 12th.
